Filippo Berio Olive Oil Not From Italy?

Salov North America Corporation was sued in 2014 for inappropriately marketing their Filippo Berio brand of Olive oil as “Imported From Italy”, misleading consumers. On January 27, 2017, that case was closed with an approved settlement. 

 

If you purchased the following Filippo Berio Olive Oil between May 23, 2010, and June 30, 2015, you may be eligible to file a claim and receive an award.

  • Filippo Berio Robusto Extra Virgin Olive Oil,
  • Filippo Berio Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Filippo Berio Delicato Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Filippo Berio Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Filippo Berio Olive Oil
  • Filippo Berio Light Tasting Olive Oil

The settlement will provide Class Members a cash payment of $.50 per can or bottle purchased. A minimum of $2.00 will be paid to any class member who submits a valid claim for one to four (1 – 4) Products purchased. Class Members can submit claims for up to 10 bottles or cans purchased (up to $5.00 per household) without proof of purchase. Proof of purchase is required to submit claims for more than $5.00 per household (for more than 10 bottles or cans purchased).
