The Federal Communication Commission is currently investigating complaints filed against Verizon for multiple unexplained and inexplicable rises in customers’ mobile data usage. Cases of mysterious charges in the middle of the night and in some cases charges to the deceased.
Thousands of customers have detailed incremental rises in data usage over the course of several months, despite no changes in their usage habits.
Verizon spokespersons attribute the problems to consumer error.
