The once a month contraceptive NuvaRing has been linked to very serious health concerns including fatal blood clots. Since its approval by the FDA in 2001 for the States many medical professionals have advertised this contraceptive as a “safe month- long protection against pregnancy”, however, thousands of woman’s personal experiences have differed.
Lawsuits claiming the manufacturers failed to disclose known dangerous side effects and failed to adequately test the contraceptives main ingredient, etonogestrel, contributing to serious health concerns, some fatal.
Lawsuits filed against Merck allege that these companies were reckless and negligent int heir marketing and release of NuvaRing. In addition, its alleged that these manufactures knowingly concealed the more dangerous side effects of the drug.
