Elite Bistro Pressure Cooker Explosion Investigation

After numerous consumers complained of their Elite Bistro Pressure Cooker, made by Maxi-Matic, on Consumer Reports an Investigation was launched. Included in the complaints are details of defective parts, product malfunctions, and explosions that had contributed to 3rd degree burns.

All consumers who purchased a defective pressure cooker, defective pressure oven, or other similar device are encouraged to take part in this investigation.

Examples of pressure cooker brands that may be included in this investigation include:

  • Aldi
  • Crofton
  • CuisinArt
  • Maxi-Matic
  • TriStar
  • Wolfgang Puck
  • Etc.

Manufacturers and sellers have a legal responsibility to put safe products on the market and in the hands of the consumer. Failing to do so, and failing to warn those about known potential risks, is a violation of the product liability law.
