Smokeless Tobacco Products

samantha severyn

Smokeless Tobacco users be advised…. A nationwide recall has been issued for multiple products. All having the same problem of Sharp Metal objects in the cans. This recall applies to select metal and some plastics cans. Trouble is the only identifying qualities are codes that begin with the letters F, R, K, or P. The U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company (USSTC) makes four major brands including Cope, Copenhagen, Skoal and Husky. All of which are produced at the company’s Franklin Park Illinois manufacturing facility. Original complaints came from the states of Indiana, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Wisconsin, and Texas.   No consumer injuries were reported as the metal was seen before consumption each time. USSTC has notified the FDA and federal authorities are working with the company to fix this problem.
