Vitamin Shoppe Mislabeling & Selling Ineffective Supplements?

samantha severyn

Vitamin Shoppe Inc. has been accused of selling supplements with ineffective ingredients, as well as mislabeling their products.

The plaintiff, Andrea Nathan, alleges that after doing his research the Vitamin Shoppe’s Garcinia Cambogia which is supposed to help support weight management and appetite suppression is no more effective than a placebo.

This wouldn’t be the first time Vitamin Shoppe was sued over supplement false labeling. Back in 2014 Vitamin Shoppe Inc. was sued over misleading consumers about the effectiveness of their BodyTech protein supplements, making false claims about the function of lactase in the body and the amount of digestive enzymes present in the supplements.
